Ritviz and Nucleya collaborate for a new album titled Baaraat and release their first single, Sathi
The pop sensations have come together to entice their fans with a new gift. After releasing the song Sathi, they launched an NFT (non-fungible token) drop on WazirX.
Udyan Sagar, the man responsible for single-handedly defining and creating a lexicon of bass which intrinsically engulfs the roots of Indian culture and tradition, more famously known as Nucleya, has become a household name among the young generations. With 1.43 M YouTube subscribers, Nucleya is set to enthrall his fans yet again, this time, collaborating with yet another young sensation Ritviz. The latter went viral after the release of his popular song Udd Gaye, followed by several hits. Ritviz currently has 2.07 million subscribers on YouTube.
Their collaborative album Baaraat is an interesting blend of styles and emotions to convey a slightly quirky and aberrant but charming love story. The eight-track album’s new single Sathi is about missing someone special. Every track in this sort of episodic album is like a chapter in a story and Sathi is what occurs at the beginning of a relationship.
It is performed, composed and produced by both Nucleya and Ritviz. While the lyrics are written by Ritviz and Anvita Bharti, the tracks are mixed by Hannish Taneja. Sathi communicates the pain experienced in the longing for the lover, “Teri yaadein jo bigade jahan...”
Nucleya states, “The way music is consumed has changed so much over the years and it’s imperative for us as artists to stay ahead of the curve by developing new and exciting ways for us to engage with our audiences.”
The two are the first creators to have auctioned their digital token on the marketplace, and first musicians from India to be involved with NFTs, as Ritviz mentions, “We wanted to create a different experience for the audience with our music. Each one of these bundles is a unique NFT with the most incredible art you’ve ever seen. There’s a lot of hope in what they can bring to the wider music community in time.” They plan to release over 60 NFTs on the marketplace WazirX over the forthcoming Sundays.
The auction will be a personalised experience offering attached benefits including access-all-areas passes to Ritviz and/or Nucleya shows over the next three years and also the opportunity to have the two artists play a house party at the house of the collector.
The auction is also said to be a game-changer for NFT enthusiasts. Elaborating on the process, Sandesh Suvarna, VP, WazirX NFT Marketplace explained how India’s leading artists Ritviz and Nucleya are dropping their exclusive artwork, “As part of this model, sellers or creators allot a minimum bidding price and an auction end date to their artwork. All the subsequent bids need to exceed by a minimum 100 WRX or 10 per cent higher than the original cost, and whoever places the highest bid, wins the auction. This will create a terrific opportunity for both creators and collectors to drive value for the digital collectible.”
