State announces incentive for healthcare workers

The State Government on Thursday announced incentive for healthcare professionals (contractual, outsourced and volunteers) working under the Health Department.

As per the decision, additional one month’s remuneration would be provided to all contractual and outsourced staffs, who are actively engaged on Covid-19 duty, including vaccination, for a period from April to July, 2021.

The incentive expenditure would be met out of the ECRP fund supported by the Union Health Ministry under National Health Mission (NHM) and State Budget scheme fund as paid in the year 2020.

An incentive of Rs 1,000 per month to each ASHA worker shall be paid from April to July as they are taking an active role in surveillance, contract tracing, containment measures and mobilisation of people for Covid vaccination in addition to their routine activities under NHM. The issue of provision of experience allowances ad EPF to all contractual staffs under NHM.
