Six bikes torched in night at Mata Mandir locality

Six bikes were torched at New 98 Quarters at Mata Mandir late in the night on Wednesday; vehicles parked in the campus were set on fire by unidentified miscreants.

Fire tender vehicles rushed to spot and pacified the fire before it could spread to parked cars in the same parking.

Out of six vehicles, three vehicles were completely gutted in fire, while the locals managed to pacify fire of three vehicles.

Soon after fire broke out fire brigade was alerted and vehicles rushed to the spot and pacified fire within few minutes. Two vehicles belong to policemen.

One of the owner of vehicles reached TT Nagar police and lodged complaint against the unidentified miscreants. The police are yet to trace the miscreants who are behind the  fire.

Among the victim Om Prakash Raghuvanshi, who lives with his uncle told the police the parking in the ground floor of the complex. On Thursday night, 6 vehicles were parked in the parking lot. Two bikes belonged to the policemen living in the complex. The residents rushed to parking after hearing explosion in bikes  at around 1.30 pm.

At that time dense smoke was witnessed in the parking and soon it became massive. The residents tried to pacify the fire, but  failed to control the fire and bike were damaged badly.

On Thursday, except Om, none of the complainants reached the police station. In this year incidents of vehicles parked outside houses being set on fire in TT Nagar and Kamla Nagar has increased and 9 incidents have been reported this year.
