On the second day of his visit to the state, President of India Ram Nath Kovind reached Devsanskriti University and Shanti Kunj in Haridwar on Monday.
The governor of Uttarakhand Lieutenant General (rtd) Gurmit Singh and Higher education minister Dhan Singh Rawat accompanied the President.
At the Devsanskriti University, the President was given a warm welcome and here he planted a sapling of Rudraksha tree. President also visited the Baltic study centre in the university which is established to increase the cultural relationship between India and the Baltic countries. At Shanti Kunj the President visited the room where the Pandit Shri Ram Sharma Acharya and Mata Bhagwati Devi lived and did Sadhna. He was welcomed by the Pro Vice Chancellor of University Chinnmay Pandya and VC Sharad Pardhi.
