Friday, 30 April 2021 | PNS | Ranchi

Chief Minister, Hemant Soren on Thursday said the second wave of corona remains a big challenge for the masses.

“The people of the state are also ready to deal with this challenge. In this regard, the Government has prepared an action plan, so that it can get integrated benefits. For this, it is very important to make people aware in remote rural areas. There is an important role of public representatives like you in this. He said that this time also with the cooperation of the people, we will definitely win the war going on from corona,” he said.

Holding an online meeting with Deputy Development Commissioners of all districts, DPROs, DPMs and heads of Zilla Parishads, Panchayat Samitis and Executive Councils of Gram Panchayats, the CM said that saving people from Covid-19 is a top priority. Especially the Government is taking all possible steps to protect the family and community from this epidemic. How to compete with Corona? What strategy should be made for this? Regarding this, the State Government is taking suggestions and information at all levels.

During the meeting the CM monitored the status of corona infection in remote rural areas, screening, availability of oxygen-rich beds and medicines, treatment of infected people, availability of medical resources in primary health centers and sub-centers and migrant labourers returning from other States.

He took information about arrangements made and vaccination campaign etc.

Soren said vigilance, alertness and awareness are very important in the prevention of corona. “If you have any suggestion in this regard, then tell it to the Government. With this, you should make people aware about the precautions and safety measures to be taken against the prevention of corona, use of home remedies and vaccinations. This is a time of crisis in which humanity will have to be introduced. Public representatives are requested to help and support the infected people at every level,” he said.

The CM clearly said Covid patients will not be allowed to lack beds and medicines. Do inform the Government about medicines, which are not available. Medicines will be made available. He said that the Government is taking action against those who are doing black marketing of medicines at this time. Raids are being conducted in the drug stores and the stock of medicines available in them is being closely monitored.

He said all preparations have been made for free vaccination of people above 18 years of age in the State.

The vaccination campaign will start as soon as the vaccine is made available. He said that ensuring the vaccination of all is the priority of the Government.

On this occasion, public representatives associated with the three-tier Panchayati Raj apprised the CM of their views and suggestions for prevention of corona infection and also pointed out the problems coming in this direction.

Public representatives of several districts, including Dumka, Pakur, Khunti, informed the CM about the misconceptions and misinformation being spread among the people regarding vaccination.

They said public representatives of every level should get the status of Corona Warrior and vaccination of all should be done on priority basis.

This will send a positive message among the people that the vaccine is completely safe and they will come forward for vaccination. The CM asked the public representatives to campaign to make people aware about vaccination. The Government will cooperate fully in this, he assured.
