NTPC Coal Mining Project of Keredari area celebrated 6th Coal Mining Day at its Sikri, Garikala office on Tuesday. NTPC has been celebrating 7th December every year as Coal Mining Day since 2016. On this day the first extraction of coal from NTPC's first captive mining project, Pakri Barwadih Coal Mining Project (PBCMP) took place. On this occasion, Project Head SK Sinha while addressing all the executives and employees congratulated all the employees of NTPC Coal Mining on the 6th anniversary of Coal Mining Day. Project Head Sinha along with all the executives and officers hoisted the flag. CISF jawans also honored SK Sinha with a guard of honor.  

After hoisting the flag, all the executives and officers present in the function remembered the history and moral values of NTPC company by singing NTPC songs. Sinha in his address also described the toiling history of NTPC. After that, he also informed about the advance phase activity in Chatti Bariatu coal mining and said that Chatti Bariatu coal mining being a new mining area, it is our responsibility to create mutual harmony in our office. Which promotes stability, cost-effectiveness, and performance. Commendable award was given to Dilip Kumar, Senior Manager of Keredari and Chatti Bariatu Coal Mining Project for his outstanding performance in the mining sector. Ajay Kumar, Additional General Manager of Coal Mining Project, SP Gupta. VC Dubey, Binay Kumar, and Deputy General Manager Kalia Murthy, Yatish Kumar, Deputy Manager, Ashutosh Kumar and Senior Manager, Mukesh Kumar Sahu, Rajdev Rana, Arnab Mandal and all officers and personnel were present.
