To tackle any emergent situations related to the Omicron Variant, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is taking a proactive approach towards the situation to ensure well preparedness for any upcoming threat of new variant.
NDMC vice-chairman, Satish Upadhyay visited the Charak Palika Hospital, Moti Bagh and New Delhi to discuss and assess the preparation with all concerned and took note of the status of facilities available in the medical services department of NDMC.
The discussion covered the preparedness in view of Covid19 new variant Omicron like oxygen cylinder, oxygen bank and 1000 LPM PSA oxygen plant concentrators, PPE kits. Upadhayay also visited the labs and oxygen plant in the hospital and issued the directions to be ready for any eventuality. NDMC medical services department informed about the one Covid isolation centre, one quarantine centre and testing centers facility available.
“It is also a flu corner at CPH where all fever cases coming to hospital are being screened on a daily basis,” they informed.
Upadhyay stressed upon the awareness about Covid 19 new variants in the community level in New Delhi area to be launched in RWAs, MTAs and other public places by various modes of publicity.
He further issued the directions to the concerned officers to ensure the compliance of Covid guidelines issued by the Central and State Government respectively to curb the spread of new variants of Covid at community level.
