State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo has said that although all the parties talk about protecting the interests of the backward and the poor, only the BJP-led governments bring it to the ground.
A very positive step has been taken by implementing reservation for backward and poor students of general category in the field of medical education.
Pratul said that while a large number of backward class students would get benefit from this decision, the dream of becoming a doctor of the poor of general category would also be fulfilled.
Shahdeo said that with this decision, now reservation will be implemented in the State's medical colleges in the Central quota seats, so that more than fifteen hundred seats at MBBS level for OBC category and more than 2500 seats at PG level and general quota for OBC category.
550 students will get the benefit of admission in MBBS level and about 1000 students in PG for poor students. From 2004 to 2014, the Congress came to power at the Center but it did not take any step in this area for these sections.
But now after this decision of the Modi government, these sections also have reservation in hundreds of medical colleges under different states.
