The Congress on Wednesday while reiterating its demand to sack Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra challenged the Minister to come out open and face media and file an application in the High Court to include him under investigation into the Mamita Meher murder case.
Party spokesperson Padmakar Guru described Mishra’s statement of Tuesday as a ridiculous exercise as he always tried to avoid the main issue.
Guru pointed out that the Minister’s statement came after Mamita’s family filed a writ in the Orissa High Court for justice as they almost lost faith in local police, administration and the State Government.
He questioned Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s silence on the issue while the same CM has been preaching zero tolerance to corruption and immorality in politics.
He warned that the Government would have sleepless nights as the Congress would continue its battle for Justice to Mamita’s family.
