Amid a spike in Corona cases and deaths in Chhattisgarh, lockdowns were announced on Saturday in Korba and Raigarh districts.
Lockdown will be imposed in Korba from April 12 to 22 while in Raigarh it will begin on April 14 and end on April 22.
The district boundary will be sealed and only essential services will be allowed during the lockdown, said identical orders from Korba Collector Kiran Kaushal and Raigarh Collector Bhim Singh.
Medical shops and petrol pumps will function with conditional restrictions and only movement of medical emergency will be allowed.
Petrol pumps will be open only for ambulances, ATM vans, medical vehicles, media personnel and press related vehicles as well as vehicles from other states.
Milk parlours will be operational between 6-8 am and 5-6.30 pm. Newspaper delivery will be allowed during the same time, the orders said.
All shops, vegetable vends, provision stores, liquor shops, commercial and departmental zones, temples and tourism sites will be shut.
All Central, state government, semi government and private offices as well as banks will remain closed. Telecom, sanitization, water supply, maintenance and health departments will work.
On Friday, 11,447 people were detected Covid-19 positive and 63 patients died in Chhattisgarh.
