Aimed at providing relief to millions of people affected with Covid-19 pandemic, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief JP Nadda on Sunday flagged off a convoy of trucks carrying Covid relief material for Delhi.
Nadda said crores of his party workers keep serving the people but some political parties work to lower the morale of the country during the pandemic. “The party has decided not to celebrate the anniversary of its Government at the Centre, but instead organise relief works across the country. There has been no culture programme organised in view of the pandemic. We are engaged in distributing medicine, equipment, dry ration kit, food, Corona test kit and other items to the needy and poor in over one lakh villages. Our workers will donate 50000 units of blood in the coming three days,” he said.
Talking about steps taken by the Modi Government on the health and medical front during pandemic time, he said more than 15 lakh beds are available in the country due to steps taken by the centre.
The BJP president also attacked the Opposition on the issues of vaccination saying when during difficult times Modi was encouraging scientists and doctors engaged in vaccine making, the opposition was creating doubts and terming it as Modi ki vaccine and BJP vaccine.
