JMM-Cong mock BJP on 7th anniversary in power

Monday, 31 May 2021 | PNS | Ranchi

Ruling alliance in the State, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress on Sunday mocked the seventh anniversary of the Central Government led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and termed it the “worst Government ever”.

Addressing media persons JMM Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said that the last seven years of the country under Narendra Modi's leadership have been full of disasters. In such a situation, the return of the NDA Government in 2024 is difficult. The country is no longer in a position to tolerate this disaster again and people who like peace will evict this Government and come forward for the reconstruction of the Country afresh, he added.

“There is not a single achievement in the Government account. The Country is bankrupt, people are suffering. The capitalists have become rich,” said Bhattacharya.

The party Spokesperson said that the Government properties and PSUs that were created in the last 70 years have been sold in the past seven years. “Rail, airports, insurance companies, steel companies and all government undertakings including banks were sold. Unemployment in the country increased by 35 percent while the capital of capitalists increased by 65 percent. The present Central Government came to power with the slogan of the Modi Government, the attack on inflation. But the situation is reversed. People were killed in demonetisation, GST, employment. Except speeches, there is not a single achievement in the Government's account,” he added.

Bhattacharya said that the BJP set up offices across the country during demonetization. The Government is constantly hurting constitutional systems. People are fighting in the name of sect and religion, he added.

Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) Spokespersons, Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo and Dr Rajesh Gupta said that the seven-year tenure of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the center was a failure. It was destructive and merciless for the people, they added. The Congress Spokespersons said that if the constitution had a system to call the Government in the middle, the people of the Country would have ousted Prime Minister Narendra Modi from power without delay. “Due to the mismanagement of the Corona epidemic, people in the Country sobbed and succumbed. Although the official death toll is 3,22,523, the truth is many times more frightening than this,” the Congress party stated in a statement.
