Jayka, traditional food program of the Bhil tribe begins in Bhopal

On the demand of visitors visiting the museum,Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya Bhopal has started Jayka, a traditional food program of the Bhil tribe.

This food is very much liked by the food lovers of Bhopal city. In this regard, Director Praveen Kumar Mishra said that in the last two decades, many big scientists of the world have also proved through their research that if people adopt the natural diet of the tribals, then many diseases caused by the deficiency of nutrients can be discharged.

By consuming maize roti, our body gets fibres, which helps you to get relief from digestive problems. It also helps in controlling the cholesterol level in the body. Also, a diet rich in fibres helps to keep your stomach full for a long time.

In this regards,every Saturday and Sunday between1.00 pm to 4.00 pm,   the museum canteen Offering an opportunity to taste the traditional food of Bhil tribe of Madhya Pradesh,  like Makke  ki Roti, Brinjal Bhurta, Coriander, Lehsun ki Chutney, Jaggery etc.
