Just two days after the alleged murder of a judge of Dhanbad Court a jail break has been reported here. Two under trials managed to escape from Dhanbad divisional jail by cutting the iron rods of the cell they were kept in.
The escape came to fore on Friday morning while headcount was on. Incidentally ,both accused were booked under POCSO Act. While Ankit Rawani resident of Kenduadih was in jail from October 2019 Deva Bhuian was resident Loyabad was in jail from August 2020.
Jail superintendent Ajay Kumar said that the incident came during head count. However, he had no answer how they jumped the high walls of the jail even if they managed to cut the rods.However, with this escape, security lapses here at Dhanbad jail have come to the fore at a time when some accused of high profile cases are in jail.
