The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) is all set to launch the Dakshin Bharat Yatra tour package. The tour package is one of the most affordable, all inclusive tour packages covering all the tourist destinations in South India.
For an avid tourism lover, the Yatra will open the opportunity to visit all the important religious and cultural centres of South India. The tour package takes you to some of the important beautiful destinations of Southern India such as Rameshwaram, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Tirupati, Trivandrum among others. Passengers can board the train at Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bokaro and Jamshedpur in State, the train which originates from Asansol. The ten nights, eleven day tour package will start on September 21 from Asansol in West Bengal.
On the same day the train will reach Jharkhand and passengers from State can board the train at junctions having halt in State. The total expense of the tour package is Rs 10395 per person which is inclusive of train fare and food available at the train. Area Manager IRCTC Ranchi Zone, Jubraj Minz said, "For a person who loves travelling, visiting various places is the best way for exploring Southern India. "The tour package includes Non AC sleeper train journey, Non AC hall accommodation at places of night stay, morning freshening up, pure vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Non AC tourist buses for visiting sightseeing spots, tour escorts for announcements and information, security arrangements for each coach. Also an IRCTC official will be on the train as train superintendent. Also the tour package is during pandemic time, Covid 19 vaccination certificate is compulsory for temple Darshan and sightseeing monuments. The IRCTC has asked all passengers to carry vaccination certificates in hard copy or in their mobile phone. The train which will start its journey on September 21 will return to Asansol on October 1.
