Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday appealed the industrial houses and mine owners of state to take up awareness campaign at the villages surrounding their establishments and provide ruralites covid medicine kits.
He was interacting with the representatives of industrial houses across the state through videoconference from his official residence.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister appealed industrialists and mine owners to contribute in prevention and control of corona infection by taking up a massive public awareness campaign. The industrial organizations were also asked to distribute Covid medicine kits to the people of surrounding villages as well as the employees and workers of their respective establishments.
Baghel said with timely intervention the infection does not aggravate and a serious condition of the disease is averted and hence the industries could play a key role in checking the pandemic in rural areas.
All the industrial enterprises assured of extending every possible support to the government in battling the pandemic.
The industrialists who participated in the meeting include K.K. Jha, Rambhagat Aggarwal, Narendra Goyal, Kamal Sarada, Atul Sahu, BL Agrawal, Harish Kedia, Ashwin Garg, Sanjay Aggarwal, Ashok Surana, Pradeep Tandon and Manoj Agarwal.
Industry Minister Kawasi Lakhma and Principal Secretary Industry Manoj Pingua also participated in the online meeting.
