CM pays homage to Saint Ravidas
Chief Minister Hemant Soren has greeted the country and the people of Jharkhand while paying homage to Saint Shiromani Guru Ravidas on his birth anniversary. The Chief Minister said that Guruji’s great ideas still work to create awareness among the society. “Let us all pledge to discharge our responsibilities in removing the evils and illiteracy spread in the society,” he said.
Webinar on ‘Imagining Tomorrow’ at BIT
Aerospace Society organised a webinar on the topic “Imagining Tomorrow through Engineering” Saturday. The webinar commenced with a welcome note by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Anand K. Sinha, followed by a brief introduction about Aerospace Society. The moderator and faculty advisor of Aerospace Society, Dr. Priyank Kumar welcomed the guest speaker Dr. Vivek Lall, Chief Executive of US defense and nuclear giant, General Atomics Global Corporation. The guest speaker proceeded with the presentation session, showing the engineering marvels developed by his company to give a glance to the participants about how engineering is working in modern industries. Following this, a Q&A session was conducted to which Dr. Vivek Lall responded with ease. The webinar concluded by Tarun Raghav, President of Aerospace society, thanking the guest speaker, the faculty advisor and the Dean of Student Affairs.
CBI holds Raj Bhasha conference
All India Rajbhasha Conference was organised in a digital form by the Central Bank of India (CBI). This was the 10th official language conference. Secretary, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, Dr Sumit Zarathi, was present at the Delhi Zonal Office of the Bank as the Chief Guest at the programme. The Conference was chaired by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Pallava Mohapatra along with the Executive Director of the bank, Alok Shrivastava and General Manager Rajbhasha, Smriti Ranjan Dash and all the Field General Managers, General Managers, Senior Regional Managers and Regional Managers from every corner of digital country were present.
JPPC vows to transform Swarnrekha River
JPPC president Aditya Vikram Jaiswal today visited the Swarnarekha River in Chutia locality of the city and expressed concern over the filth prevailing in the Swarnarekha River. Jaiswal was present along with the Professional Congress team on this occasion. He said that a special campaign will be launched by the Professional Congress to save the Swarnarekha River. He said that the condition of Swarnarekha River is very bad today. The river has been transformed into a drain. There is a lot of dirt everywhere. He said that people’s life can be happy only because of good environment and cleanliness. The Professional Congress has pledged to save the Swarnarekha River as well as to make it clean and beautiful. Jaiswal said that Swarnarekha river is the identity of Ranchi, it is very important for us to save it. We need to take a resolve to save the Swarnarekha River.
T|L|N All India Essay Contest list announced
The Learning Network, a Ranchi based learning & development venture, today announced the names of the 22 contestants whose essays have been shortlisted in Group A (Classes 6 to 8) and Group B (Classes 9 to 10) of the T|L|N All India English Essay Writing Contest 2020. The contest witnessed contributions of several high-quality essays from students from over hundred cities. Initially 724 essays were shortlisted during the first review and subsequently 80 essays during the second review (based on select quality parameters). From among these, 22 essays (in two groups) were finally shortlisted after a comprehensive review and evaluation based on content, grammar, flow, structure, ideation, spelling, handwriting, clarity etc. The final awardees would be notified in the first week of March from amongst the shortlisted students after due verification and corroboration of the authorship / authenticity of the essays. The list of the shortlisted contestants was released separately by Kamakshi Raman, Executive Director (HRD), Management Training Institute, SAIL, Ranchi; Dr. Ram Singh, Principal, Delhi Public School, Ranchi and Vijaya Jadhav (IAS), Director of Urban Administration, Urban Development & Housing Department, Govt. of Jharkhand.
