Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday attended the prayer meeting organised to honour his brother Late Gulshan Khattar in Rohtak.
The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to all the people who reached the prayer meeting. Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala also reached the prayer meeting and expressed his condolences by paying floral tributes on the portrait of Late Gulshan Khattar.
Gulshan Khattar had passed away in Gurugram on August 13. He was 56 years old and survived by two sons and one daughter.
During the prayer meeting, the Chief Minister said that on one hand he is saddened by the departure of his brother, on the other hand he has the love of the people. He said that he considers the entire society as his family.
The Chief Minister said that no one can avoid death. Death is permanent. From childhood to youth to middle age to old age, the cycle of life goes on. Society is bound by this whole affair, he said.
He said that various sections of the society have expressed their condolences on the demise of his brother, and he is grateful to all for this.
The Chief Minister also planted a Triveni at Baba Balak Puri Memorial Park in memory of his younger brother.
BJP national general secretary, Kailash Vijayvargiya, state BJP president OP Dhankar, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Pal Gurjar, Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, several Cabinet Ministers, MLAs also attended the prayer meeting.
