Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday traditionally celebrated Hareli, a highly popular festival of the state, at the Chief Minister’s official residence here. Baghel, his wife Mukteshwari and their relatives duly worshipped the rural deities, plough and other agriculture implements as well as cows and prayed for a good harvest.
Chhattisgarhi folk music, folk dance, traditional Raut dance, gedi dance and traditional cuisines were part of the festivity, an official communication said. The Chief Minister joined with the folk artists performing Gedi dance. He tried his hand in ‘Gilli-Danda’ and played spinning top. Cabinet Ministers and officials were present on the occasion.
