Cracking the whip on a private hospital for overcharging Covid-patients, district administration on Thursday barred it for Covid treatment. District Medical and Health Officer Dr N.K. Mandape informed that the district administration had suspended permission granted to Aditya Hospital of the city for covid treatment. The order has come into force with immediate effect.“The hospital located at Ganj Para was flouting the government guidelines and was reportedly over-charging the covid patients for treatment”, he said. A show-cause notice was also issued to the hospital but it didn’t reply satisfactorily and hence the action was taken, the official added.
