The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) has accorded Gold Standard to the Unnati Bhawan at Satya Nagar here, the Green Complex of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (H&UD).
The Unnati Bhawan is designed by architects Akshay K Beuria and Shailaja. This complex has come up with built-up area of 93,250 square feet and houses various organisations under H&UD Department. The complex has a 100% rainwater harvesting system through an underground recharge pit and steps are taken for preservation of existing trees through sensitive site planning and solid waste management.
