Haryana Government on Thursday initiated the second phase of setting up of ‘Jail Radios’ in prisons of all districts across the state.
In the second phase, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Rajeev Arora inaugurated four ‘Jail Radios’ set up inside the jail premises of four districts including Karnal, Hisar, Gurugram and Rohtak.

He said that the ‘Jail Radio’ programmes are completely focused on the activities of the jail and the inmates and would be presented by the inmates only.
So far, radio stations have been set up in the jails of seven districts in the state. In the third phase more stations would be started in five other jails.
