Chhattisgarh is a state of natural beauty, and everyone must visit its natural attractions which are both serene and picturesque, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Tuesday.
Natural environment prevails from Bastar to Surguja, Bilaspur or Barnawapara and now at Korba’s Satrenga, he said.
He was interacting with the media at Satrenga after watching the morning view and enjoying the facilities extended at the Satrenga Resort in Korba.
Baghel said the venue encompasses natural beauty of both water and space. The calmness of the Hasdeo river is worth seeing. It can provide relaxation from hectic life.
Korba Collector Kiran Kaushal briefed on the existing and future plans of development of the tourist spot.
Baghel did cruise boating and enjoyed tea on a 25-seater floating restaurant. Assembly Speaker Dr Charan Das Mahant, Korba MP Jyotsana Mahant and cabinet ministers accompanied him.
Satrenga has water sports, adventure sports, boating (cruise and speed boat), open gym and other facilities. It has an open theatre. In evenings, Chhattisgarhi folk dances and folk songs with camp fire are held. It has a cottage, a rest house, a glass house and guest house facilities.
The Chief Minister handed over sanction letters of `15 lakh each and `1 lakh costing fishing nets to the Fishermen Cooperative Committee.
