The Town police of Bhawanipatna on Monday busted a gang of six persons who were engaged in trading brown sugar. Their bail petitions were rejected after they were forwarded to a local court. Town IIC Satya narayan Nanda said 850 mg of brown sugar worth `10,000 was seized along with a car and two mobile phones from them.Police investigation revealed that brown sugar was being transported from Sambalpur to Bhawanipatna and sold to local youths. The accused persons are Mahammad Sakit (18), Susanta sahu (28), Abdul Rajak (21), Abhiram Goud (33), Santosh Mahapatra (30) and Narayan Bag (22).
