Coal Mining Day was celebrated in all the coal mining projects ancillary of NTPC on Tuesday on Coal Mining Day. On this Babat Pakri Barwadih Project Executive Director MV R Reddy cut the cake along with all the heads of departments in the office located at Sikri. He advised all employees to adopt all safety norms while working in the spirit of co-operation in mining work. Said that the goals of coal production can be achieved only with the cooperation of everyone, your cooperation is essential in this. It was informed that along with coal mining, NTPC is always conscious towards the environment. Plantation work was done by all the employees on this occasion. Describing the importance of trees, he said that trees play a big role in balancing the environment in our lives. Environmental protection is essential. This will bring happiness, prosperity and a clean environment to the coming generation in the society. Everyone's participation is necessary in this campaign.

Reddy also informed that till now 8000 rakes of coal have been sent by Pakri Barwadih project to various projects of NTPC on November 11.2021. Which sent 8180 rakes of coal till 7th December 2021. It was informed that the proposal for coal mining by NTPC was placed on 17th May 2016. The head office of NTPC's coal mining project is located at Ranchi. Coal mining was started on 7th December 2016 from Pakri Barwadih Coal Mining Project of NTPC. Coal projects of NTPC were commissioned on 16 February 2017 from the first rake.
