In view of recent spurt in Covid infection, the Director-in-Charge of BSL, Amarendu Prakash, held a review meeting with senior officers and doctors in online mode. The meeting was attended by the Executive Directors of BSL, senior doctors of Bokaro General Hospital and departmental heads of the plant.
In meeting, DIC instructed everyone to ensure strict compliance of protocols related to use of face masks and social distancing, to take all precautions to protect against Covid, at offices and workplaces outside plant and inside plant. Instructions were also given to stop unnecessary gathering of more people at one place in the plant and outside offices. DIC Mr.Prakash also emphasized on vaccination of all regular workers and contract workers and gave necessary guidelines pertaining to the same and strict adherence. The DIC BSL also reviewed facilities and preparedness related to Covid Care at Bokaro General Hospital. In meeting, the doctors said that all necessary medicines are available in sufficient quantity in hospital and availability of all critical care equipment is also being ensured. The director-in-charge directed hospital's Covid Control and Command Center to be restored in service from January 5, as well as announced a re-review of preparedness related to Covid next week.
It is noteworthy that an adequate number of oxygen beds have been ensured in Bokaro General Hospital and in addition to this 50-bed Covid Care Center has been kept ready for back-up in HRD Center. Along with these preparations, instructions have also been given to monitor entry of visitors to plant so that chances of covid infection can be reduced.
