DC inaugurates new Covid Centre of CCL

As coronavirus continues to spread across the country, Central Coalfields Limited, Jharkhand based subsidiary of Coal India, has stepped up its efforts to fight the pandemic by opening a new Covid Centre for asymptomatic patients at Gandhinagar Colony, Kanke Road, Ranchi today.

The move is aimed at isolating the asymptomatic covid-19 patients and starting their treatment for early recovery.

Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi Chavi Ranjan inaugurated the new Covid Care Centre in presence of CMD, CCL PM Prasad and other dignitaries. In this 22-bed Covid Care Centre, asymptomatic Covid-19 cases will undergo treatment as per the guideline of the government. On this occasion, Director Technical (Operations) V K Srivastava, CCL CMS in-charge Dr. DKL Chowhan, CMO (administration), Gandhinagar Hospital Dr. Ratnesh Jain, Dy. Manager (Pers) Rakhi Rani Gupta  and others were present.

CMD CCL PM Prasad briefed the Ranchi DC about the treatment given to Covid patients at Gandhinagar Hospital where Covid patients are undergoing treatment. He also informed that in addition to Gandhingar Central Hospital, additional Covid Centre has been opened for accommodating more patients. He also informed that CCL doctors and paramedical staff are working day in and day out to give treatment to the Covid patients. 

CCL has been committed to serve its stakeholders across the command areas of the company. In addition to Gandhingar Hospital(Ramgarh), Ramgarh Hospital of CCL has been taken by local administration for treatment of Covid patients. Nine vaccination centres of CCL have been running including Gandhinagar Hospital in the large interest of the state.

CCL is carried out mining activities in eight districts of Jharkhand(command areas) including Ranchi. In view of growing cases of Covid patients, CCL has responded promptly to request of its command area districts and signed sic MoUs with concerned district administration as per their requirements like setting up ICU units, building infrastructures etc.

CCL, the manpower intensive industry, is on high alert to guard its employees and stakeholders, by ramping up the medical infrastructure to combat the second surge of Covid-19.
