The Vigilance police on Monday caught Pranab Kishore Praharaj, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Madhupatna police station in Cuttack city, red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.
Praharaj demanded bribe from complainant Sanjib Kumar Behera of Tulasipur under Bidanasi police station in city to settle a hand loan dispute between Behera and another person. Later, accused ASI was arrested and forwarded to court.
