CM: Improve response time of ambulance

Saturday, 31 July 2021 | PNS | Lucknow

Amid the ongoing strike by ambulance operators, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed officials to ensure 24x7 availability of ambulance service in every district of the state. In this sequence, district magistrates were asked to keep a constant watch on the arrangements of ambulance operations in their respective districts.

Addressing a COVID-19 evaluation meeting in Lucknow on Friday, Yogi said that strict action would be taken against the guilty if any incident of death happened due to unavailability of ambulance.

“Under no circumstances should patients or their families suffer,” he said.

Stating that the state was equipped to serve its citizens, the chief minister asked officials to improve the response time of the ambulances.

“The ambulance staff have been trained to adopt a sensitive approach towards parents or guardians of children and the ambulances have been equipped with all life-saving equipment for the treatment of children so that they can be given initial treatment till they reach the hospital during an emergency,” Yogi said.
