Hiteshwar Sharma, a resident of Panchkula, who is among one of the toppers in the CBSE class XII examination across the country, on Friday met Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar at his residence.
The Chief Minister had invited Hiteshwar on achieving this exceptional milestone in his academic career.
Hiteshwar, a student of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector-15, Panchkula, has secured the first position in the country by securing 99.8 per cent marks in the Arts stream. He became the state topper as well however, he is not the only one to have topped the class XII board exam in Arts stream in the country.
Congratulating Hiteshwar for his brilliant academic achievement, the Chief Minister extended best wishes for his future.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on June 4, 2021, had interacted with the toppers of board examinations of previous classes. During the interaction, the Prime Minister had asked . Hiteshwar who had also topped the class X examination about his plans. Hiteshwar had told the Prime Minister that only the way of conducting the examination has changed, but his preparation is the same, he had topped in the past and he will top in future also. The Chief Minister said that whenever he meets with Prime Minister Narendra Modi next time, he will tell him that Hiteshwar has also topped class XII exam.
Hiteshwar, who was overwhelmed by the blessings of the Chief Minister,said that he aspires to serve the country by becoming an IAS officer.
Hiteshwar's father Ashutosh Rajan, is an HCS officer and is posted as Excise Collector.
He has also been representing the Haryana cricket team in the Under-17 category for the last three years. On January 26, 2020, Hiteshwar had attended the Republic Day parade as the 'Guest of Honour' of the Prime Minister.
