Chhattisgarh has bagged the first prize in preparing digital health IDs under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Utsav’ of the Union Health Ministry.
Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Bharati Pravin Pawar awarded the prize on Universal Health Coverage Day on Monday.
The IDs were prepared by the state-run Health and Wellness Centers between November 16 and December 12.
A communiqué from the Health Department said 53,067 health IDs were prepared by Chhattisgarh, which formed 35 percent of the total 152,942 IDs prepared in the country.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo congratulated the Health Department and the Chhattisgarh unit team of the National Health Mission for the achievement.
