Chhattisgarh Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo on Friday expressed dissatisfaction over what he said was a meager supply of anti-Covid vaccines to the state.
The Centre has allocated only 20 percent of the vaccines needed, he said in a statement.
Singh Deo tweeted: “Government of India has allocated 19,90,890 doses of anti-Covid vaccines to Chhattisgarh for August 2021. This is mere 20 percent of the vaccination capacity of the state.”
This includes 17,45,890 doses of Covishield and 244,000 of Covaxin vaccine, he said.
The daily vaccination capacity of Chhattisgarh is 3.5-4 lakh doses or almost 1 crore doses a month, he said.
“With this meager supply, how can we fight and defeat the pandemic?” he asked.
