CCL registers highest ever coal rake dispatch on single day

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India, recorded the highest coal dispatch through railway rakes in a single day. Breaking its previous own record, the company dispatched 80 rakes in a single day from the various railway sidings of the company. One of the major consumers of CCL is NTPC which is India’s largest energy conglomerate aiming to accelerate power development in India.

This saga of historic record is being written with strong commitment and persistent efforts of each and every stakeholder of the CCL. The unprecedented performance is the result of systematic and strategic planning as well as its perfect execution under the leadership of CMD CCL Shri PM Prasad and guidance of Directors and CVO.

CCL scaled new peaks by dispatching record 80 rakes in a day on 26 March, 21. In attaining this historic feat the company broke its previous record of 77 rakes dispatch in a day which it accomplished on 19th March 21. The company has been on a record-breaking spree in Coal dispatch and has improved its tally from a maximum of 64 rakes in a day recorded in February to the current 80 rakes in a day.

Mining activities are carried out in eight districts of Jharkhand i.e Ranchi, Ramgarh, Latehar, Palamu, Giridih,  Bokaro, Piparwar and Hazaribagh.  Amrapali-Chandragupta, Magadh Sanghmitra, Pipwarwar, North Karnpura, Rajhara, Barka-Sayal, Argada, Kuju, Hazaribagh etc are the mining areas from where the raw coal is transported through rail rakes and sent to its consumers which is spread out in various parts of the country including Gujarat, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Tamil Nadu etc.  One of the main consumers of raw coal is NTPC which take about 30 rakes per day.

CMD, CCL P.M Prasad congratulated the sales and marketing team, Area General Managers and other stakeholders of the company for this amazing achievement. He said that it is because of the hard work of all the employees of CCL that this kind of accomplishment is possible. He further added that the company under the guidance of Coal Minister Prahlad Joshi is committed to fulfil the Call of “Atma Nirbhar Bharat “. He expressed gratitude to the state Government for their support and expressed confidence the company will continue to perform with excellence in future also and attain further success.

Central Coalfields Limited is a subsidiary of Coal India Limited and is one of the highest employers and contributor to the state exchequer of Jharkhand. The company is also a pioneer in the field of welfare and has launched various projects for the holistic development of the community and bringing social transformation in the society.
