A blood donation camp will be organised in city on Friday. Considering the increasing number of Covid cases in State capital, Yuva Sansad along with Mansarovar Vyapari Kalyaan Samiti and Hamidia Blood Bank is organising a daylong blood donation camp.
Coordinator of the blood donation camp Medha Chugh shared, "We are organising a blood donation camp to avoid shortage of blood in blood banks in days to come as people won’t be able to donate for a month post vaccination."
Medha further shared that they are targeting 50 to 60 units of blood so that it can be kept safe in blood bank for any crisis to come in future.
While sharing about the blood donation camp, Medha said that all the precautionary measures will be taken during the camp. She said that the beds and sheets will be sanitized before and after the donor donates blood. Besides, it will be instructed to each donor to wear double mask for extra precautions.
It is to be noted that the camp is organised with association of Hamidia Blood Bank. The vehicle and the medical practitioners will be present on the spot to help out the donors. There will be at least 6 medical practioners for the donors.
Medha has appealed the citizens to donate blood and help those admitted in hospitals and fighting for their lives at this tough time.
