The State BJP president and party Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash has strongly condemned the misbehaviour incident of a woman journalist by a Congress worker at the JMM/Congress government second anniversary function held at Morhabadi ground. Sources said that the woman journalist working with the portal was misbehaved by a local Congressman as the journalist was making a video of empty chairs at the function.
The BJP president said that misbehaving with women, using abusive language is culture and character of Congress party, as the party has several examples of such acts in history.
The BJP chief said, “The ruling government was scared of the declining popularity of the State Government. They are unable to face the truth. What was the fault of the woman journalist who was abused at Morhabadi ground while she was doing her duty.”
The BJP leader said that the state government which has failed to deliver its poll promises to hide its failure spent crores by holding such an event. He said that earlier these people in power were targeting BJP and other anti-political workers, but now they have targeted journalists as well. He said that this government is bent on killing democracy. With the rising crime graph, women are scared now even women journalists have become insecure. “The manner in which a woman journalist was misbehaved by a Congress worker in a public place reveals the condition of women in the state,” added Prakash.
The BJP chief urged the state administration and the ruling parties to take strict action against the person who misbehaved with a woman journalist.
Meanwhile, in another development BJP state president and MP Deepak Prakash has condoled the death of former state president of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Jharkhand, Jetha Nag. Paying homage to departed souls, Prakash said that Nag was a dedicated worker who devoted his entire life in the service of the Vanvasi society. BJP Legislature Party leader and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi said that the organization has suffered an irreparable loss due to the death of Jetha ji. Condoling the death of Nag, party general secretary (organization) Dharampal Singh said that Nag served the forest dwellers with the spirit of service to Narayan.
He always made his contribution for the preservation and progress of the culture, tradition of the forest dwellers. Those who expressed condolences include the party's State General Secretary Aditya Sahu, Dr. Pradeep Verma, Balmukund Sahai, former state president Dr. Ravindra Rai, Dr. Dineshanand Goswami and others.
