The students and staff members of the ITI, Brahmapur, celebrated the “International Tiger Day” in the premises of the institute here on Thursday.
The purpose of celebrating the Day is to promote awareness and expansion of wild tiger habitat around the world, said Principal of the Institute Dr Rajat Kumar Panigrahi.
In celebrating the International Tiger Day, the institute explained to the students and visitors in forms of an innovative slogan. To join hands with the world community to save tiger, skilled professionals from ITI Brahmapur made a team of tigers. These tigers were made out of scrap iron, wrapped with artificial grass with a new skill on wrapping. The tiger sculptures are permanently put inside the campus which will disseminate the message to the visitors and animal lovers throughout the year. As a result, thousands of people are likely to visit the campus of the institute, said Dr Panigrahi. MLA Bikram Panda who graced the event as chief guest appreciated the move and urged people to save tiger which is a national pride.
