Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij on Friday said that the state has secured first position in the country in Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System (CCTNS) system with 100 percent score.
The CCTNS system was implemented by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs to curtail the incidence of crime across the country and under this system, the state police has to proactively upgrade their working system as per the latest technology under certain parameters.
Vij said that it is for the first time that Haryana Police has secured the first position in the country with 100 percent marks under this system, while Gujarat has secured the second position with 99.9 per cent marks and Himachal Pradesh has got the third position with 99.6 per cent marks.
Sharing more details in this regard, Additional Director General of Police, (Telecom and IT) AS Chawla informed that this system has been integrated on the Pragati Dashboard and it is reviewed by the Prime Minister at regular intervals.
He said that under this system connectivity of police stations, installation of complete hardware in police stations, installation and operation of disaster recovery, capacity building, technical setup for CCTNS, investigation, data migration, data syncing in police stations, data of Bank Services in CCTNS, FIR generated by CCTNS, use of CCTNS, generation of reports through CCTNS in Police Stations, input of photographs of arrested and missing persons, activating SMS alerts in CCTNS, state citizen portal services, by Police Stations, searching the national database and optimum utilization of funds is covered and Haryana has got 100 percent marks in all these aspects.
Chawla said Haryana had consistently maintained third position in the CCTNS system for the last five months and now this time Haryana has reached the first rank.
He said that Haryana had faced stiff competition from Gujarat and Telangana to secure first position and consistent efforts being made by the state paid off.
