All MCHs to have ECMO machines

Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kisore Das on Thursday inaugurated a free walk-in vaccination centre at Kalibari in Jharsuguda.

Das said the State has now a stock of 9, 94,480 Covishield doses and 11,68,750 Covaxin doses. Till date, 1,29,70,769 persons have been given first dose of the vaccine. Likewise, 4,78,432 persons have been given second dose.

With this, very soon, all citizens would be vaccinated, Das assured. In Jharsuguda, against the actual requirements of a total 8 940 88 doses, till now 2,43,125 persons have already been vaccinated. Das further said that in the coming days, all medical colleges would be provided with ECMO machine along with VIMSAR, Burla.
