Bhubaneswar on Friday registered a high of 389 new Covid-19 positive cases. With this, the total caseload in the city surged to 99,509.Out of the new cases, 290 were local contacts and 99 quarantine cases.
The local contacts included 21 cases in Nayapalli, 19 in Chandrasekharpur, 15 in Saheed Nagar, 13 each in Sundarpada and Patia, 10 each in Baramunda and VSS Nagar and nine in Laxmi Sagar.The active cases in the city stood at 2,311.Meanwhile, four more patients succumbed to the disease in the city, increasing the total death toll to 797.However, 232 persons recovered on the day, increasing the total recoveries to 96,380.
