A 25-year-old youth died while other escaped with injuries after their bike was hit by a speeding vehicle near Bhori village under Khajuri Sadak police station area on Monday.
Police said that two injured youths were rushed to a hospital where one of them died during treatment and was identified as Jitendra Maran while his friend fled away from the spot after getting injuries. Thus, he could not be identified so far.
In the night at around 3, Jitendra, along with his friend ,was on his way to Barkheda Bandar when their bike was hit by a speeding vehicle.
After the preliminary investigation, the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started further investigation.
Police have not found any details of the vehicle which the hit as no one have spotted the errant vehicle. Jitendra was found in an injured stated and police were informed by commuters and with the help of locals they he was sent to the hospital.
During the investigation it was found that his friend escaped the spot as he got afraid. The deceased used to work as labourer in the nearby areas of the village. The reason of their moving late in the night remained unclear, said police.
