The state health department reported 194 new cases and 237 recoveries from the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) on Tuesday. With it the cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state increased to 3, 39,933 while a total of 3,24,766 patients have so far recovered from the disease. Death of one patient from Covid-19 was reported by the health department on the day which increased the death toll from the disease to 7095 in the state. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 95.54 and the sample positivity rate is at 6.17 percent in the state. The authorities collected 25,167 samples in different parts of the state on Tuesday.
Death of only one patient was reported in the state on the day and it occurred at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh.
Dehradun district reported 73, Almora 29, Nainital 28, Pithoragarh 14, Haridwar 13, Uttarkashi 10, Tehri eight, Udham Singh Nagar seven, Champawat four, Bageshwar three, Chamoli and Pauri two each and Rudraprayag one new case the disease on Tuesday.
The state now has 2,245 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district is at top of the table in the list of active cases with 745 cases while Pithoragarh is in the second position with 288 active cases. Haridwar has 199, Bageshwar 195, Pauri 151, Nainital 147, Chamoli 105, Almora 93, Rudraprayag 83, Champawat 82, Tehri 61, Udham Singh Nagar 52 and Uttarkashi 44 active cases of the disease. The state reported only one case of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) on Tuesday after which it now has 495 patients of the disease. Death of one patient was reported from the disease on the day.
A total of 95 patients have so far died from this disease while 95 have recovered. Meanwhile in the ongoing vaccination drive, the health department vaccinated 74,852 people in 634 sessions held on the day. A total of 802887 people have been fully vaccinated while 3532770 people have been partially vaccinated in the state.
