Chief Minister Hemant Soren formally inaugurated the free vaccination programme for beneficiaries of over 18 years of age here on Friday. On the occasion, he said that in this era of corona epidemic, Covid-19 vaccine is like a protective shield for people.
“By taking this vaccine, we can protect ourselves and our family. The people of the State are requested to get the vaccine. Now the vaccination programme for youth has started. Ensuring free vaccination of all the youth of the State is a special priority of the government. I hope that through vaccination people would come forward to keep the State and the country safe,” he said.
The CM said the coronavirus is constantly changing its form. It is constantly engulfing people, but there is no need to be discouraged by it. This epidemic has to be fought for a long time, so keep the spirits up.
“With the cooperation and participation of all, we will surely be able to win the battle against Corona,” he said urging the people of the State to cooperate in Health Safety Week, which will help in breaking the corona chain.
On this occasion, Health Minister Banna Gupta said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the Government is fighting the war against coronavirus with full force. To overcome whatever challenges are being faced in this regard, not only the shortcomings are being removed, but the resources are also being increased.
The Government has targeted to vaccinate every youth of the State through this vaccination programme. He appealed to the people to get the vaccination done.
On this occasion, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Health Department Arun Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajiv Arun Ekka and Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department Vinay Kumar Choubey, besides Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi, Senior Superintendent of Police, Deputy Development Commissioner and other officials were present, including the sub-divisional officers.
