The Chhattisgarh government on Saturday promoted 14 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers as Inspectors General of Police (IGPs), Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGPs) and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs).
Also, three IPS officers posted on Central deputation have also been promoted as DIGPs, the order said.
Bastar (Range) In-charge IGP Sundarraj P, Bilaspur (Range) In-charge IGP Ratan Lal Dangi, Durg (Range) In-charge IGP O.P. Pal, DIGP (PHq) S.C. Dwivedi and DIGP (Phq) S.C. Sai have been promoted as IGPs.
Bastar SP Jitendra Singh Meena, Bilaspur SP Deepak Kumar Jha, Commandant of CAF’s 19th Battalion D.K. Garg and Kanker In-charge DIGP Balaji Rao Somawar were promoted as DIGPs.
Three IPS officers -- Abhishek Shandilya, Ramgopal Garg and Neethu Kamal -- on Central deputation have also been promoted as DIGPs.
Raipur SP Prashant Kumar Agrawal, Gariaband SP Parul Mathur, Bijapur SP Kamlochan Kashyap, Commandant of CAF’s 2nd Battalion K.L. Dhruv and AIGP Milna Kurre were promoted as SSPs.
All the IPS officers will get their respective pay-matrix level pay scale for completion of their respective services since their posting, it added.
