The Indian Railways will change the arrival and departure timings of more than dozen trains operating under various railway divisions from October 1. Fifteen trains operating under Ranchi Rail Divisions timing have been changed. The 02895 Howrah-Ranchi special arrival at Kharagpur was 14.40 now the train will arrive at Kharagpur at 14.30, while the departure of train is 14.35. The arrival time of the same train at Jhargram, Chakulia and Ghatshila stations are 15.10, 15.31 and 15.52 respectively.

The 08025 Kharagpur-Hatia special train arrival time at Mednipur station which was 9.25 has been revised at 9.21. Train number 02454 New Delhi-Ranchi Special will depart from Ranchi station at 10.25, earlier the departure time of the same train was 10.56.

Train number 02241 Ranchi-New Delhi special will reach Bokaro Steel City at 20.05, earlier the arrival time of same train was 20.10. The train number 03303 Dhanbad Ranchi special will reach Bokaro steel city at 7.10, earlier the train arrival time was 7.15.

At the same time the railway authorities have also decided to remove 'zero' from train numbers. The fare of trains is expected to reduce after the removal of zeros from the train numbers. After the removal of zero, the trains will reportedly run on their old normal fare basis.

After the implementation of the new timetable, the category of trains will change and they will be operated under the category of Jan Shatabdi, Superfast or Express trains. The train number of some trains which have been changed under Ranchi Railway Division are Bokaro-Ranchi Passenger, Rourkela-Hatia passenger, Tata Nagar Hatia passenger, Ranchi Lohardaga passenger.

The Bokaro-Ranchi passenger train earlier numbered 08695, now the train number is 58033, similarly, Ranchi-Bokaro passenger train number will be 58034. 

Meanwhile, the new tri-weekly special train between Ranchi-Godda started its operations. The train was flagged off at Ranchi Railway Station. Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, MLA CP Singh, DRM Pradeep Gupta among others were present on the occasion.

Train No. 08603 Ranchi-Godda Special train will leave Ranchi at 3 o'clock on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The train timing at Muri station is 4.12, Bokaro Steel City at 5.30 pm, Dhanbad at 7.10 pm, Jasidih at 9.57 pm, Jamui at 11.15 pm, Kiul at 12.25 pm, Bhagalpur at 3.35 am, Barahat at 4.30 am, Mandar Hill at 4.54 am, Hansdih 5.55 am hrs, Poreyaht at 6.25 hrs will reach Godda at 07.20 AM.
