Raipur Police on Friday started an awareness drive under the theme line 'Mor Raipur Mor Auto' at the New Inter-State Bus Terminal in Bhatagaon.
The drive will be held till December 31.
The drive was inaugurated by Raipur Collector Saurabh Kumar, Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Agrawal and Raipur Municipal Commissioner Prabhat Malik, an official statement said.
The objective behind the drive is to smoothen the traffic flow and bring uniformity among auto drivers by following a smart traffic system in the capital city.
The drive will cover verifying identity of auto drivers, updating their address, issuing circle number in autorickshaws, ensuring uniforms for all auto drivers, fixing stoppages for registered autorickshaws and renewing permit, license, fitness and other relevant documents.
