Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while addressing health workers of the state through video conferencing from his residence today, said that I salute you all for serving the people of the state day and night by risking your lives in a formidable crisis like Corona. Your favour on the society will never be forgotten. You may continue to free people from the infection while protecting yourself from the virus.

Chouhan said that we have relaunched the Corona Warriors Scheme. The government will take the responsibility of family members of health workers who have passed away while on Corona duty. Their families will be given honorarium of Rs 50 lakhs by the government.

The Chief Minister said that Corona situation has improved in the state in the last one week due to your tireless efforts. The state’s positivity rate has come down from 25 percent to 21.5 percent while the recovery rate is steadily on the rise. There were more than 94,000 active patients in the state, now there are 92,000 active patients, out of which 70,000 are in home isolation.

Corona mortality rate is slightly higher than 1 percent.Chouhan said that government hospitals are becoming the support of common people and best treatment is being provided to the patients here. Oxygen lines are being laid in district hospitals. Large scale oxygen plants are being set up in the state.
