‘Don’t let corona enter villages’

Friday, 30 April 2021 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has appealed to the villagers of the state not to allow Corona to enter the boundaries of their village in order to break the chain of corona infection and to defeat it. Keep your village closed. Leave the village only when needed. For procurement only those people should go, in whose name the SMS has been sent. Fully follow the corona guideline whenever you go out. Public curfew is self-imposed curfew.

Chouhan told the villagers that you people should remain at ease. Every grain of your produce will be purchased. Chouhan congratulated the officers and employees engaged in wheat procurement and said that it is the result of their courage that so far more than 61 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been procured. Along with this, gram and lentils are also being procured.

Chouhan said that last year, even at the peak of Corona, we had purchased a bumper procurement of 1.29 lakh metric tonnes of wheat. To ensure the wheat of all farmers is purchased during the Corona period, the last date of procurement in Indore and Ujjain has been extended from May 5 to May 15. Purchase will be done till May 25 in the remaining divisions.

Chouhan said that corona is curable, it is not incurable. It can and is being treated. Do not be scared of this, remain vigilant.

He said that do not be negligent when you have common cold, cough or fever. Get it checked immediately. Our team is reaching door-to-door under Kill Corona Campaign-2. Stay in home isolation when you come positive. If possible stay at home, get treatment by relaxing in a separate room. If it is not possible at home, then get isolated at the village panchayat building, Dharamshala, etc by creating a quarantine centre. The government will arrange food and medicines. He said that Covid Corona centres are being opened in every development block. There are doctors available. Treatment can be taken by showing to them. The hospital should be the last option.

The Chief Minister appealed to the villagers and farmers that marriage is our tradition and an important part of the rituals.

But postpone the wedding ceremony until May 15 because of the current corona infection, because in such a ceremony corona can affect the entire family collectively. If it is very necessary, then a maximum of 10 people should attend the wedding.
