Aspirants for admission to B Arch need to qualify Aptitude Test

As per Council Regulations of 2020, candidates need to qualify an Aptitude Test in Architecture conducted by the Council for admission to B.Arch. course. Aspirants for B.Arch. course need to register themselves at the portal www.nata.in for NATA 2021 for admission, irrespective of place of study, institution, deemed University, university centrally funded, state funded or private or any other. place offering B.Arch degree. Last date of registration for the first test is 01.04.2021. Further details on NATA, are available in the brochure at www.nata.in.

After conduct of NATA 2021, admissions shall be carried out by the concerned competent authorities of the respective states/institutions based on Merit as per valid NATA score and marks of qualifying examination as stipulated in the relevant regulations.

 and traveling all over India for appearing in examinations, which deprived them of an opportunity to apply for admission in schools of their choice, while at the same time also doing away with the redundant exercise of conducting different aptitude tests by the schools and other authorities.

NATA is an aptitude test and evaluates the aptitude of a candidate to study architecture. It measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture, through assessment of cognitive skills, visual perception and aesthetic sensitivity tests, logical reasoning and critical thinking ability, etc., besides the learning that the candidate has acquired over the past few years and is related to the specific field of study. NATA has been designed to assess the aptitude of candidates using different testing formats & techniques.

NATA ensures that the eligibility criteria for admission to five-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree course, as prescribed by Council and duly approved by the Central Government, are strictly adhered to by various admission authorities and followed by Architectural Institutions all over the country.
