Dr Sekar Viswanathan, vice-president, VIT has announced the GV Merit Scholarship and Tmt. The Rajeswari Ammal Merit scholarship is aimed at supporting candidates enrolling at the university’s BBA, Law, BCom, BSc and BA programmes, in addition to the flagship USR activity STARS programme.
Dr S V Kota Reddy, vice-chancellor, VIT-AP expounded that the scholarship is for any Board topper. Under this scholarship, the student will get scholarship for all years of the UG programme.
Dr CLV Sivakumar said that in order to avail the scholarship, the candidate must be a district topper from any State. The student is eligible for a 50 per cent scholarship on the tuition fee. If the district topper is a girl, she will get an additional 25 per cent scholarship (making it a 75 per cent scholarship).
The university offers the following programmes under general management with specialisation in Business Analytics, Fintech and Digital Marketing, in BA LLB (Hons - five years), B Com with dual degree programmes. This programmes is unique since it offers the fundamentals of CMA, CA, CFA and ACS embedded in its three-year programme. The university aslo offers BA and MA in Public Services and BSc and MSc in Data Science.
These two merit scholarships can be availed by all candidates appearing for the UG non-engineering programmes for the academic year 2021.
