A woman Naxalite was arrested while taking part in the Maoist 'Shaheedi Saptah' (Martyrs Week) in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, police said on Thursday. Podiye Mandavi alias Lakshmi alias Kosi (25) was arrested on intelligence inputs from a forested part of Bandipara near Aranpur village in Aranpur police station limits, Additional Superintendent of Police Dantewada Rajendra Jaiswal said. Lakshmi was President of the Maoist frontal outfit KAMS (Kisan Adivasi Majdur Sangh) and carried a reward of Rs 1 lakh on her head, Jaiswal added. She was involved in the murder of two persons including a former colleague -- Bajrang Vetti and Mandavi Bheema -- on July 22 after orchestrating a Maoist ‘Jan Adalat’ in the jungles of Nahdi.
